look so flat for ingo maurer

german designer stefan geisbauer has created 'looksoflat' for ingo maurer, a table lamp that is modeled after the
classic task light known as 'naska loris' /luxo, designed by jac jacobsen in 1937.
ingo maurer presented it at both euroluce on the fairgrounds and spazio krizia exhibition during milan design week 2011.

the piece looks to playfully reinterpret the iconic and well-known design.
flat sheets of aluminum mimic the simple, overall form of the original lamp to produce an object
with distinct two-dimensional qualities. thin LED's are cradled between the metal - available in
aluminum and black - emitting a bright, warm-white light.
