L House // Philippe Stuebi

Odd shaped sites mixed with clients wanting maximum square footage in a small area can lead to interesting buildings indeed.  That's exactly what happens with the L House.  Architect, Philippe Stuebi, does a great job of pushing all walls of the home to the furthest possible inch allowed in all directions while still keeping the interior in a logical order.  As you can see from the floor plans, the L House's odd angled exterior walls make for many compelling interior and exterior spaces.  What's great about the L House's design is that despite the many random angles found through out the house, they all have a sense of order and place that provides a comfortable space to inhabit.
