Is the PK22 the new Barcelona?

You know you have seem them. The Poul Kjærholm's PK22 chair.
This chair is becoming the trademark for select living rooms that wants to stay away of the Barcelona chair by Mies and the stigma that it carries with it. The Barcelona became an instant hit and was adopted worldwide by all the people that had taste and later by the people that had money and needed to impress friends.
Now enter the PK22. Simplicity at its finest. A Barcelona (Or pavillion chair as it's actually named) created by a minimalistic furniture arquitect that Poul was.
So if you are even thinking about a Knoll purchase of one of the Barcelona chairs, why not give the PK22 a chance?
