Marshmallow Sofa

designed by George Nelson, 1956, made by Herman Miller Furniture Co. This design offered a pragmatic solution for the factory mass-production of upholstered seating... the cushions are standard barstool seats, vinyl covered foam cushions in bright colors, sometimes more than one color in the sofa. This sofa could be made in any length, and as many as ten cushions side by side were made. The sofa shown above is a current production item offered by Herman Miller.
