This masonry block home makes great use of bamboo's cheap, reliable characteristics as an undulating facade wrapping fully around the home to provide a security barrier as well as 'naturalize' the flat, heavy concrete block walls.  Going beyond the realm as just an aesthetic addition, the bamboo allows for windows to be safely open for ventilation as well as provides shading to the upper rooftop space.  Designed by ROEWU Architecture.
