The Shannon Residence is an investigation of how we overlap multiple spacial types in a small foot print. The brief requested multiple and variety types of spaces from fully enclosed, partially open, study, storage, covered and open decks over a large area. Budgetary constrains have, in this instance, been the catalyst and not the hindrance. How do we achieve multiple spatial types within a single foot print? How do we overlap a variety of spatial types in a single foot print and avoid producing potentially redundant spaces?
