I'm working on this for baby Isabella!
Never too early to start a design addict!
Still have to print each one, cut, paste on little wood squares (3.5 x 3.5) glue it and have fun!
Some names where pretty obvious but soon started running out of easy letters and decide to use product's names too...

WOW JOEL!!!!! THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thanks!
Isabellas now wants a poster format instead of the little cards-on-wood.
So I will arrange them in poster size format...
these are lovely!
Wow! I hope you consider selling posters of this!
Please sell this poster. I don't even have a boyfriend, but I must order this for any future nurseries
Thanks guys!
This will be made into a poster that will be available along with my other posters that I did a little while ago. Please keep your eyes open to this site for more info.
Thanks for the interest!!!!

Pretty cool stuff.
Impressive.
Hi guys!
Thanks for the kind words!
Right now, we are going to supply two versions.
Version 1, BYOF or bring your own frame.
Printed on a real 1200dpi digital paper in matte finish and then glued to heavy stock flexible cardboard (business card kind of stock) All this done by hand and one at a time. hand signed and numbered. Size is 11"x17" and price will be $35 shipped in the US
Version 2, R2H or ready to hang.
Printed on a real 1200dpi digital paper in matte finish, glued to a 1/2" birch plywood and covered by a 1/8 glass All this done by hand and one at a time. hand signed and numbered. Total Size is 12"x24" print size is 11"x17" and centered in the plywood. Wax seal on the back with the letter "P". Price will be $95 shipped in the US.
I'm still trying to figure it out on the version 2 on how to attach the glass to the plywood but it won't be that long.
Payment at this point is only by money order, cashier's check or even personal checks and turnaround it's about 5 business days after receiving the payment.
Just note that the format is now vertical instead of horizontal and some of the icons where changed... like: Bertoia: now shoing a front view without padding, Le corbussier, Onyx chair, X3 chair and some minor tweaking to make it better.
Let me know,

hi there.. looks great! Will you ship outside US? (poster only?)
great job!
don't forget flash cards :)
It's a lovely, colourful design so I hate to nitpick but...
Listing Noguchi under I (for Isamu) sticks out like a sore thumb, at least it did to me, because it looks like that common mistake people make of mixing up Asian first and last names. Eames wouldn't be listed under C just because his name was Charles, etc. so....hmmmm. Maybe if one of the other alphabet letters was changed to a designer's Christian name too??
I understand what you are saying. But I want to incorporate my own fav designers. That's why you will have some with first name, some with last and even some with just the product name, like the ox chair by hans wegner listed under the letter "O".
In the case of Noguchi, I wanted George Nelson and Noguchi, to be on the alphabet. This is not a perfect world and I have to make some compromises, another example was the fortuny lamp. I listed as fortuni as it was originally named, but it was later renamed "fortuny". I did 15 numbered prototypes that will have the fortuni. since then, I changed to the correct name. Those lucky 15 ones will get the protos with the "mistake" which it make it more valuable! :)
Thanks for your comments!

joel
Fair enough. :)
As I said, I do like the design... the Isamu thing is probably just me!
Just seen your creation on Mocoloco, I love this ABC !
What a great concept, I had been wanting to do a similar project and what a pleasant surprise to know that there are many of us who have long wanted our little ones to be just as designerly! Can't wait to purchase for some of my clients ... are you open to putting out on the market, let me know I'd love to forward you to some excellent modern children stores.
