This modest home in a middle class suburb of Bali’s capital, joins an existing house to a new construction and explores the relationships between the two. The plot sizes are tiny (300sqm) and so we elected to explore the vertical more intensely with a series of roof terraces offering discrete spaces for relaxation and enjoyment. On a clear day these offer views of the Volcanoes that make up Bali’s interior and the sea shore just a few miles to the east
