It's a Vitra edition, like the others I have... this wall is coming along really well... the only one missing is the steering wheel clock and I will be set (yeah, right!!) for life!

We've been featured on dwell.com!

This is a moment that really makes me proud. First, my favourite TV network, HGTV, featured the modern classic's alphabet on their own blog a couple of weeks ago. (thanks Caren!) Now my favourite modern home magazine, dwell, made the alphabet "Product of the day!!!!!!" Thanks to Chelsea for that!
I would like to take a moment to really thank all the parties involved on this project from start to finish, but also to all my cyber-pals that lend me a hand. Also, to all my readers for all your support. THANK YOU!

Free 2008 Calendar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new 2008 Calendar is here! featuring some of the design classics (and some new ones!) of the Alphabet that made the rounds a couple of weeks ago!

This is a multi page .pdf document that once you click on the title or the little graphic under my profile, will start downloading automaticaly and saved to your desktop where you can print at your leisure. Size is 8.5" x 11".
Also, do you know how at the beginning of each year we are still trying to figure it out what year we are on?
Well, this calendar, has a built in feature that shows a big "08" on the background of the days/weeks in 9% screen of black (you can still type over and see everything) ...it fades out little by little as the months go by, so by May, you have nothing on the background... pretty neat-o! right? ; )

Birch panels and my wall of clocks!

I'm done doing the huge wall panels for the living room. First, I wanted to deal with a texture wall and get rid of that, then, I wanted a more warmer/uniform look than the green wall panels we had before... so 4 feet x 8 feet 3/8" thickness premium grade birch plywood went on the walls, fastened by industrial strength 3" screws.
The pain was to get the panels level and plumb (I had to trim 1.5" on all panels at the bottom due to the wood floors!!) since they weight a ton and they are too big to be manipulate easier. but finally are up. The gap between them is 1/2" that will be covered by an aluminum strip for a clean look. Re-arranging the art gave me the opportunity to hang my precious collection of Nelson clocks that have been ticking under my bed for a while... now, if I can get my "eye" (hint!) on my next clock. I even have the space reserved!
