The argentine culture known as “northern culture” is originated in the Province of Jujuy in the extreme north, where Argentina encounters the republics of Bolivia and Chile.
Jujuy is a land of contrasts and colors where desertic and woodland landscapes, blue and red soils, silent villages where time has stopped together with the racket of the fairs, all coexist.
The northern culture is a culture of the quotidian: fabrics and pots, mortars and utensils, customs and music, food and legends, objects and religion. It is then not surprising that in this land of contrasts and colors, a group of architects have focused all their efforts to blend diverse contemporary designs, to train new generations of craftsmen and to respectfully use local materials.
