A very nice sconce

Janne Kyttanen: 1597 Wall Sconce
Freedom of Creation, Netherlands.

This beautiful wall sconce won the interior Innovation Award in Cologne 2006.

1597 is based on the Fibonacci sequence of numbers appearing in the nature all around. 1597 is inspired by the Coneflower and the way its seeds’ growing patterns are arranged. All the holes in this shade are arranged around the bulb, so no matter where you look at it, you can’t escape the beatiful rays of light it creates.

1597 can be mounted on the wall or on the ceiling. Due to being such a strong decorative shape, it works well as s single source of light as well as an arrayed sequence of lights.
