Two cabinet makers and a designer
Right from the first meeting and the first, merry hello! We felt that the chemistry of our team was quite good, and that we could create something together. It made a good start, and the plank was collected.
Soon, we found out that basically we would use the plank given to us as it was. Use the surface and the line of the grain at its utmost and adapt the material as little as possible, so that it would still remain a plank and a piece of wood as the focal story of the product.
Following many drafts and meetings the end result was the idea of a simple bench, where legs and surface are given the same curved profile. A construction built on the same principle as that of the slat of the venetian blind. By simply curving the surface of the upper- and underside with slight differences in their radius we achieve not only strength but also a thin and sophisticated edge of the profile.
