Artist Statement

In my work I distort and manipulate the figure, shedding what I find unnecessary, creating simple, primitive forms rich in ambiguity and mood. I create my work by exploring new and old ideas, stemming from my imagination and curiosity. In return, my hopes are that the pieces engage the viewer's own imagination, bringing forth their own thoughts and interpretations.
