Astral, bench

The unique Astral bench was designed in 1979 and has won a host of awards for its sculptural shape and innovative construction. It comprises only two repeat elements that go together to create the back and seat. The construction forms a semi-circle whereby the bench bears its own weight and creates a unique seated sculpture. The bench is made from lacquered maple. It is also available in ash or oiled teak for outdoor use. Astral is also made as a straight bench.

EJ Benches

The big horizontal surface, smooth black fiberglass construction and transparent base of EJ141 and EJ144 easily lead, the thoughts to a membrane separating heaven from earth. EJ141 (One for one) and EJ144 (One for four) is designed by Anne-Mette Jensen and Morten Ernst. Today it is seen in lobbies and halls as relaxing oases in advanced European designer hotels. This upholstered bench has a wide variety options of colors and the legs can be of chromed or black lacquered steel.

PK54 Table & Expansion Ring

This table was designed by Poul Kjaerholm in 1963. It can be used as a dining or conference table. The table has a flint rolled marble or granite top with a square, satin brushed stainless steel base.

The optional expansion ring is made of solid maple and has a convenient storage rack when not in use.

Priced at $9,810.00 for the table and $10,009.00 for the expansion ring

BL10

The BL10 has roots back to the 1930s' diamond-cutting district in Birmingham – the home town of Bestlite. Here the lamp was created specifically for the diamond-cutting craft.

sliding closet glass door DIY

We had a homedepot special bi-fold wooden door. It was impractical for the application we had.
Since I got some leftovers rails (besta) and harware (pax) from ikea, I decided to give it a try.
First was to order a custom tempered glass with some holes for hardware and handle, painted the back white and made sure the top rail was level and properly attached to the wall (the glass door weights a ton!).
The end result is a door that slides like butter, it's a space saver and looks cool. Also is super low profile.
Please enjoy the pictures!
