What a place!
Spent the weekend there with family and friends. fighting cocks running wild on the streets, voodoo shops, island architecture with tin roofs (to avoid flame jumping during wild fires), a nice art museum and a crappy aquarium, lots of history there... and everything is overpriced.
At the end, we are tired of seafood, the roadtrip and very happy to be back. 'til next time!

Design Deutschland is a series of exhibitions organised by the German Design Council, each of which presents, in different contexts, a thematic selection on the current state and history of German design.’ A Snapshot of current Designs on the one hand - icons of the German Design of Modernity on the other hand: the venture to show both together coins the first special exhibition in the context of the new presentation of the Design by the Neue Sammlung Munich. From the Graphic and Interior Design up to the Design of industrial products lasts the spectrum of this thematically arranged cross section of drafts of German designers and enterprises. As topics terms were selected such as material, position, function, system and tool, which were coining for the development of the German Design and possess to today their validity.

SKATE STUDY HOUSE (SSH) is an innovative design concept specializing in recreating popular furniture through the vision of a skateboarder. The movement of a skateboarder constantly changes -- it recreates itself by transcending boundaries and inventing ways to conquer obstacles. It’s constantly about anticipation and adaptation to one’s environment. The same is true for living design. The combination of the two produces a mixture of contemporary lifestyle, art and action sports culture, which is all found in this unique collection.

We are big in.... Singapore!
Blue Ant Studio made it into Home concepts magazine in Singapore, as a part of a 6 page spread about my favorite designers: Aalto, Bertoia, Prouve, Jacobsen, Knoll.

Succulent planter
We did this window sill planter a while ago from poplar wood leftover from a project. We coated it with flat black paint and used to grow wheat grass for a wile... I looked nice, but the life span of the grass was too short. Later we used to hold tea light candles with tiny white stones. We liked that but after reading Apartment Therapy June month on succulents we decided to start a collection and use the planter to display it. This is how it looks. We love it!

This is Ziggi. Isabella's little friend. We decided to mimic one of our posters from Blue Art Studio.
This was the outcome. We like the 50 anniversary edition of clear/greenish. Found at ebay for a song!

Sally TV is a happy girl!
Sally Kuchar, the famous "Sally Kuchar" from SallyTV.com (and MOCO LOCO and Apartment Therapy) got her posters from Blue Art Studio.
Sally and I share a crazy obsession with chairs that is beyond comprehension.
I've got a fever... and the only prescription is.... more chairs!
