Just got my set and even that I don't have a final frame to place them, I'm using a temp. and I love them.

The Ninety by Luxo is the world’s most energy-efficient task light. This year it was the 2008 winner of Contract magazine’s Best of NeoCon Gold award and Buildings Magazine’s Innovations Grand Prize award for energy efficiency. Ninety supplies a great deal of light even though it consumes very little energy, 7.8 watts. Some specifics to the product include:

The new colors are muted with a hint of blue added to the grays to make it cooler (temperature-wise). Some new characters are featured while some old ones are staying. It also features a construction grid, based on a modified golden ratio, where the rule of thirds is applied.

Isabella's turned 3 two weeks ago and it was a starting point to have her room transitioned from baby/toddler to little woman.
The bed. West Elm low platform (for easy climbing) in twin size. No need for box spring (a bonus) just get a mattress. We are using one side of the crib as a temporary barrier until she gets used to the new real estate
Nightstand: she doesn't need one but we incorporated a prince aha stool/table since we are familiar with it and it's unlimited potential.
We also got a padded foam rug, offi clear plastic chair, butterflies mobil and a semi custom image on top of the ikea's table/chair that I did from one source of istockphoto that I had to create the other caracters.
Also, using the alphabet, I was able to recreate her name. (short version, ISA)

The formerly known biennial Prize “Grandesign International Award” has become 2004 the “Grandesign - DesignEtico International Award” in order to emphasize the engagement in the ethical context of the selected

The final decision of the Jury will be held in autumn 2008.

Vitra is celebrating Nelson's 100th b-day with the re-introduction of the pretzel chair.
In the 1950s, George Nelson and his New York office developed a series of individually expressive seating furniture, a number of which have long established themselves as classics. In 1952, predating the famous Coconut Chair or the Marshmallow Sofa, he designed a chair made of moulded plywood originally referred to simply as the “Laminated Chair”. The bold and elegant curve of the seat back and armrest soon earned it the nickname Pretzel Chair. Plywood is used for the back and its supports as well as the four legs of the chair that cross under the seat. The downward taper of the legs adds to the delicate and slender appearance of the chair.
On the occasion of Nelson's 100th birthday, Vitra is introducing a re-edition of the Pretzel Chair—which numbers among his most famous designs—in a limited Anniversary Edition of 1000 pieces. The numbered special edition Pretzel Chair is accompanied by a comprehensive Edition Portfolio.
I had the pleasure of going to lunch with the girls last friday in Coral Gables and took the opportunity to go to Luminaire.
What a place. Imagine DWR but upscale. (even if that's possible!!!) I notice that they have stuff fresh from the shows and what we post about last week. Please enjoy the few pics.
